Steps of Hope was birthed in 2006 out of a passion in the hearts of Linda Kane of Hope and a Future and Jan Bedell of Little Giant Steps. Their strong conviction was that all who seek freedom from the constraints of learning disabilities, learning differences and a myriad of labels must have a place to go where their needs can be met when circumstances are unique and funds are limited. The founders of this charitable educational agency could not forget those whose futures could be changed for the better, if they only had a chance. Therefore, Steps Of Hope became a non-profit organization that was forged from the fire of dedication and experience of teaching parents how they can become the interventionists in their children’s lives through The Neurodevelopmental Approach ~ an approach that works with the brain and body through specific activities, training, etc. which in turn produce new neuro-connections that allow for improved overall functional abilities. The history of neuro-educational methods has been written through the lives of those who no longer suffer from learning issues. The programs are in alignment with God’s design and are based on the natural progression of development, which unfortunately is far too often overlooked when, in fact, it is the key to learning.
